General description

As the main research and higher education institution of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, the University of Novi Sad is one of the very rare campus-oriented universities in the SEE region. FTS is the biggest faculty in Serbia and possesses a high quality of human, material and organizational capacity, allowing hosting of ESRs as well as work with state-of-the art fabrication facilities (Dimatix DMP-3000, PulseForge), characterization equipment (AFM, Wafer Probe Station, Vector Network Analyzer, HMS-3000, Nanoindenter G-200, etc.) and software tools.


UNS plays a leading role in the technological development of Serbia and WB region as it educates and trains researchers in accordance with the highest European standards. In SENSEIVER project, PhD students will be trained by UNS key personnel, in the field of design, simulation and characterization of sensors for environmental monitoring.

Key competences and facilities

UNS (FTS) staff are clearly recognizable in the research community and industry, due to their results in design, modelling and simulation of sensors with high sensitivity, application of sensors and electronic systems in humanoid robots, application of RFIDs in food industry, characterization of different types of sensors and electronic materials, and design and verification of RF transceivers, etc.
